This is a project I am very proud of. It was the winner of "Best Animation" from the Star Wars Movie Challenge sponsored by Lucasfilm.
The class project took 12 weeks from start to finish.
I was responsible for modeling both Han and Chewie. I was also a team lead assisting 7 fellow students. We were responsible for 30 "cockpit" shots from modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, compositing and the stereoscopic 3D depth quality.
After the class project was submitted, I was again asked to lead a team of about 5 students and DAVE school graduates that reedited and polished the entire production. This was done in only 35 days. We added several new shots and effects, improved the facial animation, and fixed a few stereo 3D issues. The revised version was shown at the Celebration V Convention in Orlando, and received an overwhelmingly positive response.
